RMP is always looking for volunteers to help us save the reef! Whether you live here or are just visiting the island for a week, we have a range of things that need your help. See below for more information. While most of our fieldwork requires volunteers to be divers with a decent amount of experience, we also have plenty of tasks that don’t require diving that we need your help with including education and outreach!

Coral Restoration

We currently offer the RMP Coral Restoration Certification Course which covers all the basics needed to participate in coral restoration! In order to volunteer with the RMP Coral Restoration Programme, you must have taken the course or equivalent.

LONG TERM VOLUNTEERING

We accept interns for a minimum of three months, if you are interested in interning, please send your CV and cover letter. For Honduran university students who wish to do their professional practice, please send in transcripts, two recommendations from professors, a CV, and a cover letter. We also accept MSc students who are looking to conduct their research with us.

Please note: Unfortunately, we are currently unable to provide a stipend and/or accommodation for interns/long-term volunteers. Additionally, RMP operates a largely Spanish-speaking office, so any international interns/long-term volunteers should have a working level of Spanish.
