MISSION & PROGRAMS

A community-based, non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Honduras’ marine and coastal ecosystems. We work closely with communities to provide education, training and improve the conservation of marine ecosystems and associated species. Our mission is accomplished through our broad range of programs and resources, none of which would be possible without the support of our local community, partners, and donors.

We work in the Bay Islands National Marine Park (BINMP), the largest marine protected area in Honduras with approximately 650,000 hectares. The BINMP, is part of the Mesoamerican Reef (MAR), the second-largest barrier reef in the world and shared by four countries: Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras. Its biodiversity contributes economically to the livelihood and social wellbeing of all of those that live and visit this region.

MARINE

INFRASTRUCTURE

We are responsible for over 90% of the marine infrastructure on Roatan. We install dive moorings, channel markers and swim zones to prevent mechanical damage to our reef, cause by anchoring and boat collisions.

PARTNERS

We believe that together, in partnership with individuals, communities, businesses, foundations, and governments we can keep our oceans clean, our coral vibrant, and our community healthy.

OUR
SPONSORS

RMP's business sponsorship program is designed for dive shops, restaurants, hotels, and other establishments that wish to become partners in conservation. We need your help to protect the marine life and resources we all depend on.
