Velvet Teos
Volunteer and Operation Coordinator
"The reef doesn't need us to be experts to care for it; it just needs us to learn to observe it and protect what we love."
Velvet Teos F. leads dive operations for the Research Department. Her work focuses on direct field execution in the water, collecting data on reef health, maintaining coral nurseries, and conducting underwater monitoring during fish and coral mass spawning events.

Through RMP’s citizen science approach, Velvet guides and accompanies local and international volunteers in the water, turning scientific monitoring into a meaningful experience where each volunteer connects deeply with the ocean. In addition to training them in data collection methodologies, she ensures strict compliance with operational safety measures, making marine science accessible while driving reef conservation in Roatan.
