We recently received a visit from the team of CUSO International, a Canadian organization that aims to support sustainable development initiatives for indigenous communities while preserving the environment.
Through our partnership with CUSO, we are currently working on designing manuals that will be key in our annual environmental education campaigns: Reading for Conservation and Green School Blue Future.
Additionally, we are creating a module on the Bay Islands' history, culture, and cuisine, which will help us certify the community's tour guides.
During their visit, we conferred projects to implement collaborative initiatives with local communities, taking into account cultural heritage and ecosystem conservation.
We are grateful to the CUSO International team for our progress so far, and we look forward to further growing this partnership for a healthier future for the people of Roatan and the island itself.
