

General Objective
To train fully prepared environmental ambassadors from the community so that they can actively monitor and protect local coastal-marine ecosystems.
Training includes subjects such as the Bay Islands Marine National Park (BINMP) and its ecosystems, using the iPATROL app, soft skills, and participation in community activities.
This initiative is supported by the Australian Embassy in Mexico through its Direct Aid Program (DAP).

Skills You Will Acquire
-
Knowledge about the importance and functioning of the Marine National Park of the Bay Islands (PNMIB), its ecosystems, and its ecological importance

Improved soft skills: critical thinking, leadership, teamwork, communication, and community participation
-
Enhanced technical skills, such as swimming and/or diving
-
Learning to use the iPATROL application


Interviews & Commitment

The applicant will receive an email or message to set up an interview date
-
Selected participants will be notified by email or phone and must come to the RMP office to sign a commitment letter to complete the training process
Requirements & Responsibilities of Participants

Successfully complete all assignments.

Actively participate in your community, sharing knowledge about environmental care during trainings

Participate in volunteer activities with Roatan Marine Park (RMP)
