Marine Operations Assistant

I am a Biologist graduated from the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH), with work experience as an instructor of genetics laboratories at UNAH and as an administrative technical assistant and Public Use Coordinator in the Protected Area Natural Marine Monument Archipelago of Cayos Cochinos, islands of the Bay, Honduras. With knowledge in monitoring marine and terrestrial fauna (coral reefs, sea urchins, sea turtles, bats). With professional experience in management and conservation in protected natural areas: construction and maintenance of artificial reefs (Coral Gardening), preparation of technical reports, as well as the preparation of research proposals, environmental education days, volunteer coordination and systemic monitoring of trash on beaches. I have a Master's Degree in Protected Natural Areas 2020, developed by the Autonomous University of Madrid, the Compútense University of Madrid and the Alcalá de Henares University. I consider myself passionate about the conservation of nature on the planet, committed and with the necessary focus to give answers to the socio-environmental problems that our country faces, always willing to collaborate to develop solutions to the local and global challenges faced by the ecosystems that they sustain life on the planet.
